My little family recently took a last minute trip to NYC! It's only 9 hours away from us and in 1.5 years we will be moving back to Kansas, and thought we should explore the east coast while we can! The autumn drive was GORGEOUS. And NYC was just as amazing as I expected, I could definitely live on the upper east side ;) My husband is a major country boy though. He loves wide open spaces! Our compromise is the suburbs!

Well I have been having a GREAT time with my husband being home! And our 14 month old is adjusting amazingly! God is so good, I have been praying so much the last 7-8 months that the adjustment would go smoothly when Mr. Husband came home and that he would keep us all safe. And God answered my prayers better than I could have imagined! Sometimes my prayers don't get answered in the ways I wanted them to, but God always seems to know what is best for my family and I!

We have been hanging out a lot and enjoying my husband's time off, we took an IKEA trip during the weekend and also watched lots of movies! I will post photos of our new house and furniture eventually. sigh. So much still to do!

my mom is here visiting, so we went to Wilmington to see a peanut plantation and then we went to the beach.

Other than that, things have been pretty un-eventful! just getting the house all ready, and we painted Emery's crib :)

Military ball

Last night me and Mr. Husband went to a military ball! I'm not going to lie, I wasn't that excited.... I would have loved to purchased a gorgeous formal and gotten super fancy! But It was sooo hard to find a dress that would fit right! (being 18 weeks pregnant) I was pretty bummed. I even cried when I put on my dress and complained to my husband that I have no waist line! hahaha.
anyway, everything came together, and I tried to look as "Audrey Hepburn/Marilyn Monroe" as possible!

and my date looked as handsome as ever!

I don't have a very good picture taking set-up. I put it on self timer and then go pose, but the closest thing to set the camera on is my computer table, which is lower than me.... So every time I take photos I have a double chin! ew. it just shows up! I always go and look in the mirror frantically afterwards to make sure it's not there at eye level! hahah.

So, we have a cat and a dog. We have had Isis(cat) for a year and 1/2. But we just got Jasper(dog) this summer. I always dreamed of having a golden retriever and couldn't wait for the day when I had a cute doggy curled up on the couch with me. Well now that day is finally here............and he's DRIVING ME CRAZY.

I think I have discovered I am a cat person. I just had to get that out.

YEP! I found my camera battery! I was so relieved. whew. I don't know how I would live without my camera!
but the bad news is, now I don't have my precious iPhone! *tear* someone at work STOLE it! bitches.
ugh. I swear, this weekend has not been the best.
But it wasn't all bad! Me and Mr. Husband both had Friday off! so we did a little shopping and I priced cameras! holding the Canon Rebels and the Nikons.....it made my dream feel so....real. ok ok.....I'll stop being cheesy.

the theme for work the other day was "pink". and I HATE pink. I always have.... I don't know what is wrong with me. I think it was because I was the only girl until I was like 13. Even all my cousins were boys... so I was spoiled, and always dressed in pink..... and ruffles..... you know, the dreaded ruffle panties. nightmares.
so this is what I wore... and you know what they said? that's not PINK enough! grrr.....so I bought a $4 hot pink t-shirt. And I don't have photos of it...........I um.... forgot?
