so, we adopted a golden retriever! his name is Jasper, he's 11 months old, we got him from a golden rescue.. and he is SO FUN and full of energy! We love him, and I'm pretty sure he loves us too, hehe

something me and my husband love to do together is go hiking and exploring new places! This past weekend we went to Carlsbad caverns in New Mexico, it was uber fun.....and yes, I did say uber.

hiking or not hiking, indoors or outdoors, I still like to dress decent, so here's my "hiker chic"

and by the way, my hiking shoes are bright red... because I'm just cool like that.

Sewing machine!

my family was in town this weekend, it was great to see them! AND my mom brought me her old sewing machine! I can only imagine all the wonderful things I can create now!

and it came with these vintage instruction books

well I will be back to posting now that the fam is back in Kansas and my house is all clean!

this is a fashion blog, right? then why have I not been posting about fashion?

well to be right honest with you, I just haven't felt very fabulous lately! actually I've been pretty lazy lately.

and trust me, you wouldn't have wanted to see any of my recent outfits anyway

so I will do one more non-fashion post and then I will kick my butt into fabulous gear

anyway.

so I'm re-decorating my bathroom, and I got this shower curtain, it's pretty simple

and I was thinking of spicing it up with these towels

and a funky rug
